Apocalypse Blockers is the book where it all starts to make some sense. Up until this book, every book in the series seemingly had nothing in common with the others, apart from the line, Khaos is coming, popping up at random intervals. Reading this book, and Khaos Has Come, people always comment on how difficult it must have been to write a story with so many protagonists in it, but I actually find this kind of chaos easier to write than a normal story. I usually write around 2-3k a day, but with both Apocalypse Blockers and Khaos has Come that was 6k+. Again, it was having to pay for editing and proofreading that kept Apocalypse Blockers at 40,000 words, if not for that it would have been the same length as Khaos has Come, if not longer. I would do a second edition that is much longer if it would not mess things up with the Audiobook, so I have to learn to live with it being this length.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate apocalyptic fantasy and it’s hilarious too!

I love Simon Carr’s books. I’ve compared him to Kurt Vonnegut in the past but he’s more like a three ring circus with Kurt Vonnegut’s in all three rings. This story never has a dull moment like his other books. I recommend this book to all readers but IMHO you really need to read his other books first to get the most out of it. So go forth and read lots of Simon Carr then read this book. You’ll be as happy as a hungry horse in a field of alfalfa.

I really enjoy Simon Carr’s books. He has a dry quirky sense of humor that I just love. I have to be honest and say sometimes I have to read it the second time – to get it – because I can be too black and white – lol This novel is about of unusual heroes who join together to save all the realities that have been. Will ever be, and some that we may know are even here. The unholy evil for Khaos is set to bring us down and our heroes are not going to let that happen. But our heroes are going to save us, our heroes, our Apocalypse Blockers! I recommend the novel of Simon Carr.
