Spice Zombie Apocalypse was my first try at horror. I don’t know why I wanted to write a horror story, I don’t actually like horror, I am a bit of a coward.
I do really love the film Shawn of the Dead, and I really love the film, Trainspotting. So, I thought I would try to make some kind of hybrid of the two.
I think it worked, I really liked giving the characters some depth and backstories as to how they got to where they were, it made them more relatable and real. This book was a big learning curve for me on how to make the reader actually care about the characters.

This author has a bright future and I can't wait to read his next book. Well done, you made me laugh, cry, jump and panic with the characters. A short read but we'll worth it! Thank you.

What a fantastic, laugh out loud read. I highly recommend this. The characters are wonderfully flawed yet very likeable. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

it was amazing This book is outstanding!!
I absolutely loved the humour, even at the darkest moments, you couldn't help but smile or laugh out loud.
The clever story is so unbelievably believable (especially since Covid 19.) All of the characters are a right motley bunch of saddos, but you become so attached to each & every one of them.
I knew I'd enjoy this book from reading the synopsis, but I never imagined it would be so brilliantly entertaining. Go, go, go Simon Carr & write many more fabulous books please!
