A different kind of apocalypse!

Simon Carr delivers an edgy but humorous take on the apocalypse in The Super Nice Monster Squad! As the impending apocalypse approaches, a group of monsters decides what to do about it. I really enjoyed Carr’s fresh take on the genre! His humor was hit or miss for me, and the story isn’t necessarily for the faint of heart due to profanity and some adult content, but if you’d enjoy a grittier version of Shaun of the Dead, you’d likely love this one!

Definitely funny and a great read

I received this as a free copy from the author and thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a good laugh. Loved the take on current events and spin on humor. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Not your normal monsters

I really, really enjoyed this book. It's definitely not your normal monster book. Simon Carr gives readers a change of pace with his writing. Quit refreshing.

It is this Wednesday. Bring a packed lunch. Simone car has done it again. He is truly a gifted author and ropes you in at day one. This is a brilliant read! It pulled me in from beginning to end and held my attention. The world building is detailed and imaginative. This novel has strong, well developed characters and an interesting story line that keeps you turning the pages. I recommend this novel and would read more novels by this author.
